Scope: Any personalized shirt made for sorority or fraternity members, including both sorority and fraternity designs, is referred to as a "custom Greek shirt." However, sorority shirt designs concentrate especially on creating apparel for sorority members.

Design Focus: The distinctive identity and ideals of a specific sorority are reflected in the designs of sorority shirts. They generally feature the letters, emblems, and colors of the sorority in addition to relevant phrases, images, or themes for the members of the sorority. Custom Greek shirts may have a wider design scope that incorporates elements pertinent to fraternity life, all while remaining suited to the fraternity or sorority.

Audience: By expressing the culture and ideals of a particular sorority, sorority shirt designs are mostly meant for sorority members. Although they are made for both fraternity and sorority members, custom Greek shirts can be more inclusive to Greek life overall.
